बांझपन (Sterility)

Introduction:

If a woman does not have the capacity to produce child or she has no capacity be pregnant, this condition is called sterility. It happens because of disable sperms in men and disturbed menstrualexcretion of women. Hence, sperms of men should be made healthy or semen of men should be purified or disturbances of menstrual excretion of women should be removed during the treatment of sterility. A woman can gets motherhood by doing so.  

There are two kinds of sterility. First is natural and it is by birth. Second takes birth because of several reasons. In it, there is no medicine for the treatment of first kind of sterility and second kind of sterility can be treated with the help of medicines. There are many medicines to get rid of sterility.

Cause:

A woman does not become pregnant because of several kinds of causes. Such causes are as vaginal diseases, menopause, leucorrhoea, presence of air in the uterus, enlargement of flesh on the uterus, any physical problem, passiveness at the time of coition or unnatural sexual intercourse, great weakness or heavy body, presence of tumor or cyst in the ovary, gonorrhea, any sexual disease, worms in the uterus, coldness of the uterus because of wind, reversing of the uterus, burning etc. besides these, some women are sterile by birth. Sometimes, children of a woman die just after delivery and sometimes a woman produces only one child.    

Describing the mental state of a sterile is hard. This state worsens if she has no physical problem and man accuses her to hide his fault. There is no fault of a woman almost in 50 percent such cases. The fault is in the man but the woman faces tortures. Hence, medical check up should be done of both man and woman. Often, men keep on slinking away from their treatment. Men keep on torturing their wives in such kinds of cases. If fault is found in man, it is hided from the woman and other family members in place of its treatment.   

Now, conditions are changing day by day. Now, both husband and wife go for medical check up in this kind of case. They start treatment of this disease. 

We should know all the processes of conception before contemplating on the physical problems and obstructions. The cause of sterility will become clear easily by doing so.  Meeting of a woman’s ovum and man’s sperm is possible through the following processes. Treatment is searched if there is any kind of problem in them.  

Treatment:

Sperms should gather at the mouth of uterus and they should have the capacity of conception. 

Sperms of a man should have the capacity to reach the fallopian tube of uterus.

Ovum should have the capacity to reach into the fallopian tube too.

Ovum should be in sprouted stage.

Arrival of sprouted ovum into the uterus 

The uterus of a woman should have the capacity to develop the sprouted ovum. 

Women can become pregnant easily if all above processes are in well condition. There is any problem in these processes if a woman does not become pregnant. Everything becomes clear in medical check up and there are several reasons behind it.

Inadequate development of ovum or presence of any disease in the ovum 

Disturbances in the fallopian tube because of gonorrhea or other disease

Abnormal stage of uterus since the beginning or displacement of uterus from its real place

Presence of tumor in the uterus

Swelling in the uterus because of abortion or any other reason

Presence of such kind of elements in the menstrual excretion which have the capacity to end the sperms

Check up:

Such kinds of things can be found out after medical check up of uterus.

Membrane of uterus is tested whether it is able or not for the healthy or ovum that has the capacity to sprout. 

Test of fallopian tube through simple medical check up

Knowing any kind of fault of thyroid gland after urine and blood test of a woman

It is also observed within an hour of sexual intercourse whether vagina has such elements which destroy sperms. Or there is any obstruction in the arrival of sperms at the mouth of uterus. Sexual intercourse should not be made till four days after this test.

Information:

If it becomes clear after test that sperms of man has no capacity to make a woman pregnant, treatment of this disease is not possible. If there is no such kind of disease which cannot be cured through treatment, other kind of obstruction can be removed by operation or hormonal treatment. Such kinds of obstruction can be removed after treatment in the presence of such problems as sexual diseases, tuberculosis, too much weakness or obesity. So, consult to the doctor if you have the suspicion of sterility after some years of marriage. Both man and woman should go for medical check and follow as doctor suggests.

It depends on the doctor whether there is a need to increase hormones and glands’ secretion or to get rid of physical fault. Hormonal medicines should not be taken without doctor’s prescription. Many times, problem disappears by a minor operation. This treatment is very beneficial for happy married life. If there is need of transplanted conception, it should be adopted without hesitation.   

The cause behind the sterility can be psychological if no impotency becomes clear after the medical check up of a man. A man can become unable for sexual intercourse because of any kind of inferiority or sense of guilty. If men feel that they have committed any mistake, they should consult to the doctor without hesitation. Problems can be solved by changing postures.
