भृंगासन (BHRUNGASAN)


Introduction:
            This posture is useful to cure many types of diseases. Practice of this postuer should be done in clean and calm environment after laying the bed sheet or mat on the floor. The body shape turns into as frog while practice of this posture

Technique:

For practice of this posture, lay a bed sheet on the floor and sit upon it. Now bend your both the legs from the knees and put behind. Join your left heel with the left hip and right heel with right hip. Now join both the claws and heels together and keep a distance of 1.5 to 2 feet between both the knees. While taking deep breath, lower the body forward and bend both the hands from the albo and put between the knees, and put the parts of elbow to palms on the floor. Keep some distance between both the hands and join the fingers with each other. Raise your head up and look on the front. Now stop your breath and stay in this position according to your capacity. After that, while exhaling, raise your body up slowly and sit on the heels as common position. Stop this activity for sometimes and start again just. Thus, this practice should be done 5-10 times.

Benefits:
            This posture makes the digestive system strong and increase appetite. It ends heaviness of the body and eliminates gas from the stomach. It is useful to cure constipation and other disorders of the stomach. It also ends weakness of the shoulders, hands and feet.
